Zixflow supports RCS (Rich Communication Services) messaging to help you send richer, more interactive messages to your customers. RCS is an upgrade over traditional SMS, allowing features like read receipts, rich media, suggested replies, and secure business messaging.
Here’s how you can enable RCS on your device:
Check your carrier and device support
RCS is supported on most major Android devices (Samsung, Google Pixel, OnePlus, etc.) with updated software.
Ensure your carrier supports RCS. (Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone Idea support RCS in India; check your local carrier if outside India.)
Enable RCS in Google Messages
Open the Google Messages app (ensure it’s your default SMS app).
Tap your profile picture / Settings → RCS Chats.
Toggle “Turn on RCS Chats”.
Wait for activation (it may take a few minutes).
Verify RCS is active
You’ll see “Connected” under RCS settings.
Now your device can receive and send RCS messages from businesses using Zixflow.
Apple has introduced native support for RCS messaging starting with iOS 18.
Update your iPhone to iOS 18 or later.
Ensure your mobile carrier supports RCS in your region.
On your iPhone, go to Settings → Apps → Messages.
Under Text Messaging, look for RCS Messaging.
Toggle RCS Messaging on.
You may also see RCS Business Messages—enable this to receive RCS messages from brands and services.
Note: In many regions, the RCS option might not appear in Settings if your carrier or region doesn’t yet support it.
No additional setup is required inside Zixflow.
If RCS is available on your customer’s device, Zixflow will deliver messages using RCS automatically.
