What’s Changing?
Your SMS Sender ID will now include a 2-letter suffix based on the type of message you’re sending.
This change is automatic and handled by your DLT platform and telecom provider.
Example:
If your Sender ID is ZIXMSG
and you send a service message, it will appear as:
VM-ZIXMSG-S
Where:
VM
= Operator codeZIXMSG
= Your registered Sender ID-S
= Suffix showing the message type
Suffix Types
|
| Message TypeSuffixExample |
Promotional | P | ZIXMSG-P |
Service (Implicit) | S | ZIXMSG-S |
Transactional (OTPs, etc.) | T | ZIXMSG-T |
Government (Exempted) | G | ZIXMSG-G |
“Service Explicit” messages will now be treated as Promotional and get the
-P
suffix.
Do You Need to Do Anything?
Everything is handled by your DLT platform and Zixflow.
Your templates and headers stay the same.
The suffix will be added automatically.
You don’t need to make any changes.
